Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ursuline Academy). They put the hurt on the Loveland Tigers with a sharp 17-6 win on Friday. The Lions not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024 (when they won 13-2).

The victory made it two in a row for Ursuline Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Loveland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ursuline Academy will head out to face off against Carroll at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Loveland, they will venture away from home to square off against Kings at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
