Basketball Game Preview: Marana Tigers vs. Buena Colts + How To Watch

The Marana Tigers will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Buena Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Marana is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They had to suffer through a 68-35 loss at the hands of Desert Ridge. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Marana saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zachary Evenson posted 14 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Buena strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 89-39 victory over Rio Rico.

Marana ended up a good deal behind Buena in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 91-73. Thankfully for the Tigers, Jamin Booker (who shot 76% from the field en route to 28 points and six boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
