Stratford beats Sanford-Fritch for their eighth straight win

Recap: Stratford Elks vs. Sanford-Fritch Eagles

The Stratford Elks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sanford-Fritch 69-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Stratford, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Stratford found their leader in underclassman Chase Lantelme, who threw for 114 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also picked up 62 receiving yards. Trey Smith was another key contributor, gaining 78 total yards and two touchdowns.

Stratford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Vicente Morillon and Bryce Braden who racked up five sacks between them.

Stratford's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Sanford-Fritch, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stratford will take on Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 359 points over their last eight matchups. As for Sanford-Fritch, they will head out on the road to face off against Panhandle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Panhandle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sanford-Fritch in Texas (Panhandle is ranked 328th, while Sanford-Fritch is ranked 1143rd).
