Austin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Faribault, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Packers blew past the Falcons 10-4 on Thursday. The Packers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 11-1).

Kaydence Schaefer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Alexis Brede was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Jenna Hetzel was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

The Packers (ranked 144th) will meet Mankato East (ranked fourth) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Faribault will face off against Stewartville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (294 vs. 48).
