            Baseball Recap: Herrin Tigers vs. Harrisburg Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Herrin lost against Harrisburg two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Monday. The Tigers fell  9-4 to the Bulldogs.

 Chance Estes was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   four  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Herrin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carter McCree, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs.
Herrin's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Harrisburg, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Herrin will square off against Carterville at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 9.4  runs per game this season. As for Harrisburg, they will face off against Carbondale at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.5, the Terriers 4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
