Basketball Recap: Luther Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Gavin Milligan and AJ Hattenhauer

Luther was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Star-Spencer Bobcats, falling 54-33. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Bobcats are ranked 410th).

Despite the defeat, Luther had strong showings from AJ Hattenhauer, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and six boards, and Gavin Milligan, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Luther's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Star-Spencer, they moved to 1-14 with that win, which also ended their 18-game losing streak.

Luther didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-46 victory against Marietta on the 25th. Star-Spencer has also already played their next contest, a 59-57 defeat against Tonkawa on the 25th.
