Chemawa Indian came up into this matchup off a tough 42-point loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Gervais by a score of 37-34 on Wednesday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Salem Academy had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Monday. They claimed a resounding 90-10 win over the Dragons. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Dragons are ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Salem Academy's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for Chemawa Indian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
