Basketball Recap: Mitchell Tigers vs. Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers
Mitchell was the 49-40 winner over Lingle-Fort Laramie when they last played one another back in January of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Mitchell Tigers came up short against the Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers on Thursday, falling 62-37. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Lingle-Fort Laramie to victory were Brady Cook and Brody Roberts. Cook dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds, while Roberts went 8 of 15 on his way to 19 points along with five boards and four steals. Cook has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last ten times he's played. Anthony Arnusch was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 12 points.
Mitchell now has a losing record at 1-2.
Coincidentally, Mitchell and Lingle-Fort Laramie will both be playing Wheatland the next time they take the court. Mitchell will head out to face Wheatland on Friday, while Lingle-Fort Laramie will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
