Softball Recap: Gulf Shores' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Gulf Shores entered their tilt with Brighton on Tuesday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Brighton Cardinals by a score of 8-4.

Anna Leigh Price was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Neaveh James was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Rhyleah Gleber was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Gulf Shores kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.

Gulf Shores' win bumped their record up to 15-9-1. As for Brighton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gulf Shores will host Cordova at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brighton, they will be playing at home against Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
