Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Cardinals vs. St. Paul Lutheran Saints

The Lincoln Cardinals will be playing at home against the St. Paul Lutheran Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

Lincoln lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Santa Fe, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Chiefs on Tuesday. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. Paul Lutheran won against La Monte on Tuesday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Saints beat Smithton by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

Lincoln's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Paul Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
