Basketball Recap: Penns Manor Triumphs

If Purchase Line wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Penns Manor, they should've done a better job of containing Vinny Myers. The Penns Manor Comets enjoyed a cozy 63-47 victory over the Purchase Line Red Dragons on Thursday thanks in part to Myers, who went 9 of 17 en route to 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Several Red Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakob Mountain, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Perruso, who posted ten points.

The win got Penns Manor back to even at 10-10. As for Purchase Line, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Penns Manor has already played their next game, a 66-55 loss against Marion Center on the 1st. As for Purchase Line, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-43 victory against Harmony Area on the 31st.
