Softball Recap: Sickles Comes Up Short

Sickles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Clearwater Tornadoes, falling 10-4. The Gryphons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tornadoes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Dallas Thompson and Briana Browder did some serious damage despite the final result: Thompson scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Browder went 1-for-3 with one home run. Those three stolen bases gave Thompson a new career-high.

Sickles' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Clearwater, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Sickles wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-0 win against Leto on the 4th. As for Clearwater, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against Canterbury on the 4th.
