Basketball Recap: Camden Shields' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Navarro over Wimberley

Navarro was the 44-31 winner over Wimberley when they last played one another on January 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. The Navarro Panthers took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wimberley Texans on Tuesday.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Camden Shields, who posted nine points. Tegan Harborth was another key player, putting up 16 points and six boards.

Navarro's defeat dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Wimberley, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Navarro has already played their next contest, a 47-10 loss against Fredericksburg on the 24th. As for Wimberley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 41-32 win against Davenport on the 24th.
