Auburn got themselves on the board against Calhoun on Saturday, but Calhoun never followed suit. They blew past the Warriors 7-0. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Meena Taylor's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Addison Wheatley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Jones, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Auburn's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Calhoun, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-6.

Auburn and Calhoun should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Trojans will challenge Nokomis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (77 vs. 449). Meanwhile, Calhoun (ranked 149th) will meet North Greene (ranked 495th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
