Basketball Recap: Weston Takes a Loss

Weston was the 41-39 winner over Stanley when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Weston Wolves took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stanley Panthers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wolves came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Panthers are ranked 220th).

Weston's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Stanley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Weston and Claiborne Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Claiborne Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Weston surely won't give up without a fight. Stanley will take on Ebarb in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
