Basketball Game Preview: Cedarcrest Red Wolves vs. Interlake Saints

The Cedarcrest Red Wolves will square off against the Interlake Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Cedarcrest is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over Newport - Bellevue on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Wolves.

Meanwhile, Interlake unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost to Bellevue at home by a 77-58 margin. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Wolverines are ranked 13th).

Cedarcrest has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Interlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Cedarcrest came up short against Interlake in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 59-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Interlake's Eric Olteanu, who went 9 of 11 en route to 24 points.
