Ursuline Academy got themselves on the board against Crescent City Christian on Wednesday, but Crescent City Christian never followed suit. They blew past the Pioneers 15-0. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 13 runs or more this season.

Chloe Guilbeau made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Ursuline Academy got a massive performance out of Dixie Tatum, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ava Gonzales, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Ursuline Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .885. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ursuline Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. Crescent City Christian is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Ursuline Academy will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Livingston Collegiate Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Crescent City Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Willow at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
