Cy-Fair blew past Northbrook 11-1 on Tuesday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cypress Ridge beat Cypress Falls 15-12 on Tuesday.

Edelin Barrios made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christiana Palacios, who scored four runs while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Jennessa Sanchez was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Cypress Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.

The victory made it two in a row for Cy-Fair and bumps their season record up to 13-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Cypress Ridge, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Cy-Fair took their win against Cypress Ridge in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 11-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cy-Fair since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
