Football Recap: Greenfield-Central Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yorktown, Greenfield-Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Delta Eagles by a score of 24-13. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Draven Nolting threw for 40 yards. Cooper Hinton was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards.

When it comes to explaining why Delta lost, don't look at Aven Thomas. Despite the final result, he rushed for 108 yards and two TDs. The Eagles are 2-1 when Thomas posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-4 otherwise.

The victory got Greenfield-Central back to even at 4-4. As for Delta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
