Basketball Recap: Eagle River Comes Up Short

Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt a 67-38 loss at the hands of the West Anchorage Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Eagles are ranked 24th).

Eagle River's record is now 1-15. As for West Anchorage, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Coming up, Eagle River and South Anchorage will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for West Anchorage, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dimond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
