Ashton Sumrall Turns in Season-Best Performance

Ashton Sumrall produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bridge City to the win on Friday. Sumrall's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 110 rushing yards. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards.

The win for Bridge City keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cardinals challenges Livingston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bryce Breeden was instrumental in extending Bridge City's winning streak to six on Friday. Breeden did his part (and then some), picking up two sacks and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss) for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

This season, Breeden has averaged 10 total tackles per game and for the season has 5 sacks.

Lumberton's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Chase Williams

Chase Williams helped snap Lumberton's six-game losing streak dating back to last season. On Friday Williams rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023.

Lumberton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. They and Vidor are set to duel on Friday.

Tyler Breeden Delivers Best Performance of Season

Thanks in part to Tyler Breeden, Lumberton said goodbye to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season. Breeden produced his best game of the campaign on Friday: he picked up 124 receiving yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 87 yards.

This season, Breeden has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 45.2 receiving yards per game.

Hutch Bearden and Co. Win Sixth in a Row

Hutch Bearden's big game helped extend Bridge City's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Bearden as he rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 128 yards and a touchdown.
