Volleyball Recap: Loretto's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Loretto had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lewis County Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Panthers on September 4th, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Loretto got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21, 31-33, 25-17.

Loretto had a senior duo take command as Breleigh Winters had 22 digs and four aces and Taylor Laws had 20 digs. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Laws.

Loretto was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 13-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Loretto's win bumped their record up to 16-23. As for Lewis County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Coming up, Loretto will challenge Winston County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lewis County, they will take on Summertown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
