River Valley needed a changed in momentum after dropping 17 straight games and they got it from Gary Truance. The River Valley Raiders snuck past the Wellston Golden Rockets with a 60-56 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Truance, who went 9 for 11 on his way to 24 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

River Valley's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 2-18. As for Wellston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

River Valley will take on Meigs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meigs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something River Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Wellston has already played their next game (against Athens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
