Softball Recap: Markesan Comes Up Short

If Markesan was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Montello last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets fell just short of the Johnson Creek Bluejays by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost four in a row.

Markesan's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2. As for Johnson Creek, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Markesan will venture away from home to take on Pardeeville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnson Creek, they will face off against Williams Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
