Soccer Recap: Birdville Comes Up Short

Birdville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Grapevine Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 656th, while the Mustangs are ranked 322nd).

Birdville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Grapevine, the win got them back to even at 7-7-2.

Coming up, Birdville will be playing in front of their home fans against Colleyville Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grapevine, they will head out to face off against Richland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Richland will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
