Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Beyer's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Beyer had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since March 8th.

Beyer was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 16-14.

Cruz Hibbard had an outrageously good game as he had 30 assists and five digs. Those 30 assists gave him a new career-high.

Beyer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Twelve Bridges, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-12 record.

Looking ahead, Beyer will venture away from home to face off against Ripon Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Twelve Bridges does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
