Soccer Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to four goals the game before, Goddard was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against the Newton Railroaders, falling 7-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Goddard of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Zane Fisher, who's now up to ten this season.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Newton, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Goddard will challenge Winfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Winfield will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Goddard surely won't give up without a fight. As for Newton, they will take on Arkansas City at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Newton are facing Arkansas City at the right time seeing as Arkansas City are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
