Basketball Recap: Smyrna Falls Short Against Ranked Caravel

On Thursday, Smyrna faced Caravel in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The matchup between the Smyrna Eagles and the Caravel Buccaneers didn't end well, with the Smyrna Eagles falling 64-50. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Smyrna's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Caravel, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Smyrna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-52 victory against Cape Henlopen on the 14th.
