Basketball Recap: Burkburnett Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Burkburnett had won five straight games and Kingston Gould did his part to make it six on Saturday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 70-61 win over the Kennedale Wildcats with plenty of help from Gould, who dropped a double-double with 34 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Burkburnett's points.

Another player making a difference was Ayden White, who went 9-for-17 to rack up 22 points and five boards. The contest was his ninth in a row with at least 15 points.

Burkburnett's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Kennedale, they moved to 8-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
