Basketball Recap: Red River Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mansfield last Friday, Red River came back down to earth. The Red River Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 50-49 to the Winnfield Tigers. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 70-63.

Red River's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 23-9. As for Winnfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Red River has already played their next game (against Lakeside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.
