Baseball Recap: Poplar Springs Takes a Loss

Poplar Springs lost against Paxton back in May of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Atomics lost 15-2 to the Bobcats. The Atomics have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Poplar Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen Gammons, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Poplar Springs now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Paxton, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Poplar Springs will square off against Bethlehem at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Atomics are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Paxton, they will take on Baker at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season.
