Soccer Game Preview: Jordan vs. Katy Taylor

The Jordan Warriors will square off against the Katy Taylor Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Jordan's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Jordan is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They and Katy finished up their game with a 4-4 draw on Tuesday. The result kept the Warriors happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

They hit Katy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aiden Erol (2), Andres Chavez, and AY Osague.

Despite a strong season so far, Katy Taylor has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Katy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Tigers are ranked 272nd).

Katy Taylor's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3-1. Jordan's draw gives them a new season record of 6-0-4.
