Basketball Game Preview: Lumberton Raiders vs. Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears

Lumberton will head out to face Little Cypress-Mauriceville after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Lumberton took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bridge City.

Meanwhile, Little Cypress-Mauriceville strolled past Vidor with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-42. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Pirates are ranked 1157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Little Cypress-Mauriceville and bumps their season record up to 24-8. As for Lumberton, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 21-8.

Lumberton strolled past Little Cypress-Mauriceville in their previous meeting on January 7th by a score of 59-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lumberton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
