Basketball Recap: Towle Institute Extends Winning Streak to Five

Towle Institute put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 57-44 win over the Fairwinds Christian Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-45 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Fairwinds Christian lost, don't look at Solomon McCloud. Despite the final result, he went 11 for 23 on his way to 28 points. With that strong performance, McCloud is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game. Another player making a difference was Matt Diaz, who posted nine points.

Towle Institute pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.9 points per game. As for Fairwinds Christian, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Towle Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fairwinds Christian has already played their next game (against Chestertown Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
