Football Recap: Regent Prep Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Brody Smith and Bryceton Huerta

Regent Prep was the 68-36 winner over Gore when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Regent Prep fell 46-39 to Gore on Friday.

Regent Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Bryceton Huerta and Brody Smith. Huerta gained 140 total yards and two touchdowns, while Smith threw for 280 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Huerta also posted 123 receiving yards, which is notable because Regent Prep is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Regent Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Gore, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
