Ironton had won two straight games and Braden Schreck did his part to make it three on Saturday. The Ironton Fighting Tigers came out on top against the Dawson-Bryant Hornets by a score of 81-68 thanks in part to Schreck, who almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine assists. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Markel Cotton, who posted 11 points along with five boards and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Ironton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Dawson-Bryant, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ironton will take on Fairland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairland has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three games. As for Dawson-Bryant, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rock Hill at 7:15 p.m. Dawson-Bryant is facing Rock Hill at the right time seeing as Rock Hill is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
