Baseball Game Preview: Hancock Panthers vs. Forbes Road

The Hancock Panthers will take on Forbes Road at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Things were looking good for Hancock after they put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Fort Hill by a score of 3-2.

Hancock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blaire Ray, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The Panthers are 3-1 when Ray posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-2 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Forbes Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 10-6 to Shanksville Stonycreek.

Mikey Strait made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Camden Lupey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Forbes Road, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Hancock was able to grind out a solid victory over Forbes Road in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 6-1. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forbes Road turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
