Basketball Recap: Excelsior Springs Comes Up Short

Excelsior Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. The match between them and the West Platte Bluejays didn't end well, with the Excelsior Springs Tigers falling 60-45. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 527th, while the Bluejays are ranked 156th).

Excelsior Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for West Platte, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Excelsior Springs Tigers take on the Raytown South Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Platte, they will challenge Northland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
