Basketball Recap: Benedictine Triumphs

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Benedictine ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 74-73 win over the St. Mary's Saints. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cadets have posted since January 30th.

Benedictine now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. Mary's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Benedictine and Archbishop Carroll will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for St. Mary's, they are taking a road trip to challenge Loyola Blakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
