Isaiah Gallegos Tops All Others This Week

Starting off the list is Rocky Ford's Isaiah Gallegos, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Gallegos threw for 246 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Rocky Ford's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Gallegos and Rocky Ford will square off against Las Animas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

COLBY BATTERTON and Co. Win Fifth in a Row

COLBY BATTERTON was instrumental in extending Springfield's winning streak to five on Friday. BATTERTON's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 132 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Springfield's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. BATTERTON and Springfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McClave at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Mcclave Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Mason Barr

Mason Barr was instrumental in extending McClave's winning streak to six on Saturday. Barr turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 67 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 95 yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making eight total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging three interceptions.

McClave pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cardinals takes on Holly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ethan Bronniman and Co. Win Sixth in a Row

McClave picked up their sixth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Ethan Bronniman. Bronniman did his part (and then some), rushing for 60 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 144 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.

This season, Bronniman has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 98 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 8.83 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 45.83 rushing yards.

Shayne Gonzales Makes It Two for Rocky Ford

The second Rocky Ford player making an appearance here is Shayne Gonzales, and for good reason. He picked up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 67 yards.

For the season, Gonzales has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 56.7 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 16.83 receiving yards per game.
