Football Game Preview: Giltner Hornets vs. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles

Giltner is 0-3 against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Hornets will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Giltner has given up an average of 78.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Giltner came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through an 80-34 loss at the hands of High Plains.

Giltner might have lost, but man, Braxton Cady-Wheeler was a machine: he picked up 134 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 38 yards. Cady-Wheeler's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Another player making a difference was Brody Rudy, who threw for 145 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Deshler on Friday, but they still walked away with a 26-20 win.

Giltner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
