              A feisty cat fight is on tap when  the Ada Cougars  take on   the Fort Gibson Tigers at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday... Ada has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Ada is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They enjoyed a cozy  66-48 win over Seminole on Tuesday. Given the Cougars' advantage  in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings  (they are ranked 55th, while the Chieftains are ranked 274th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for  Miilan Riley, who  dropped  a double-double on 23 points and ten  boards. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Caron Richardson, who  went 5 for 10  en route to 14  points and five  boards.
 Ada  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 21  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 13  offensive boards in five consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, Fort Gibson posted their closest  victory since January 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Catoosa, sneaking past  64-61. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Tigers.
 Ada's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Fort Gibson, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record  this season.
 Ada skirted past Fort Gibson  50-48 in their previous meeting  back in February of 2024. Does  Ada have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fort Gibson turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
