Flag Football Recap: Chloe Gillis Key Part of Team Effort in Titans Win

There's no place like home for Tesoro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past the San Juan Hills Stallions with an 18-14 victory on Wednesday. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 33-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tesoro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Gillis, who threw for 347 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.3% of her passes. That's the most passing yards Gillis has posted since back in September. Tesoro's leading receiver Jenna Tuttle was Gillis' top target yet again, picking up 110 receiving yards and one score.

Tesoro's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Kayla Siebold was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks herself. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one sack the last 14 times she's played.

Tesoro's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.2 points. As for San Juan Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

As of now, neither Tesoro nor San Juan Hills have any future games scheduled.
