Baseball Recap: Reading's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Reading came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Pittsford Wildcats 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rangers have posted since April 26th.

Reading got a great performance from Keven Denison as he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. The Rangers are 5-1 when Denison allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Chase Anderson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Peyton Green was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Reading's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Pittsford, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

As of now, neither Reading nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
