Ferris has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Alvarado Indians at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
Ferris suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 69-39 to Kennedale, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ferris in their matchups with Kennedale: they've now lost five in a row.
In what's become a running theme this season, Alvarado gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Life Waxahachie as Alvarado made off with a 53-29 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-16.
It was another big night for Candra Bridgewater, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Lauren Melson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Ferris has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Alvarado, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-14.
