Baseball Recap: Mound-Westonka Gets the Win

Mound-Westonka won the last time they faced Kasson-Mantorville and things went their way on Saturday too. The White Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Komets, sneaking past 5-3. That's two games straight that the White Hawks have won by exactly two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Mound-Westonka and bumps their season record up to 6-10. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 5-7 Minneapolis South and 8-9 Kasson-Mantorville. As for Kasson-Mantorville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9.

Mound-Westonka didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 victory against Minneapolis South on the 17th. As for Kasson-Mantorville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-4 win against Pine City on the 17th.
