Softball Recap: Newell-Fonda Has No Trouble Against Pocahontas

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Newell-Fonda and Pocahontas meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Mustangs blew past the Indians 10-1. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won eight in a row.

Newell-Fonda's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Pocahontas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Newell-Fonda has already played their next game (against Fort Dodge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pocahontas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against West Monona on the 13th.
