Basketball Recap: Penn Treaty Skates Past First Philadelphia Prep with Ease

Penn Treaty was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against First Philadelphia Prep on Wednesday. The Penn Treaty Wovles blew past First Philadelphia Prep 52-12.

Penn Treaty was led to victory by Aliyah Rogers and Isabella Ortiz. Rogers posted 25 points and three blocks, while Ortiz dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Rogers' afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malayah Brown, who put up six points along with eight boards and four blocks.

The win got Penn Treaty back to even at 1-1. As for First Philadelphia Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Penn Treaty is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Mastery Charter Hardy Williams at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for First Philadelphia Prep, they will square off against Samuel Fels at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
