Baseball Game Preview: Indianola Warriors vs. Wetumka Chieftains

The Indianola Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Wetumka Chieftains at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Indianola has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Indianola lost 17-3 to Kiowa last Monday.

Indianola has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Wetumka, their record is now 4-9.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Indianola has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .484. However, it's not like Wetumka struggles in that department as they've averaged .457. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
