Volleyball Recap: Payton College Prep Takes a Loss

The Payton College Prep Grizzlies came up short against the Bolingbrook Raiders on Wednesday and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14.

Jason Beerkens paced Payton College Prep's offense, picking up four kills. Beerkens got some help from Alexander Dragoshanskiy and his eight assists.

Among those leading the charge was Dominik Pietruszewski, who had five digs and five assists. That's the most digs he has posted over his last six matchups.

Payton College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bolingbrook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Payton College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against De La Salle on the 3rd. As for Bolingbrook, they will venture away from home to face off against Joliet Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
